Abstract
eCulture Factory is a Cultural Laboratory for Interactive Media Art & Technology, that deals with the transfer of experimental & artistic research, methods and results in exhibitions, conferences, publications, products and new projects. Most of the projects were developed at the Fraunhofer MARS research department (Media Arts Research Studies) and are concerned with the notion of Mixed Reality and new interfaces for the exploration and transfer of knowledge spaces to enter.
eCulture Factory explores the transformations of public space caused by phenomena such as connectivity and mobility. eCulture Factory curates symposia and exhibitions; organizes inventor workshops with companies and provides an interdisciplinary research frame of artists, scientists and technicians for specific tasks.
From 2005 - 2008 the project under the direction of Monika Fleischmann and Wolfgang Strauss operated in Bremen.
