Abstract
RV Border Guards is a mixed reality game for several people. Armed with a Head Mounted Display and a gun, the players must defend themselves against the attacks of virtual opponents in real space. This uses video-see through technology for entertainment purposes. Through their visors the players can see into the real game space, which is stereoscopically overlaid with virtual figures. The digital forms throw shadows on real objects in the game area and can hide behind them. This integration of virtual and real-space elements is achieved using a pre-calibrated geometry of the physical world.
